Vegan Ranch that’s ZIPPY and DELICIOUS! Packed with plenty of herbs and perfect for Buffalo Wings, Sandwiches, and even a SALAD!

Ranch is one of the most popular sauces and dressings in the US, and for good reason! It can go on just about anything savory! How many salad dressings can double as a place to dip your Buffalo Wings? Not many by my count!

And since a lot of that flavor comes from plants, all we need to do is swap out the mayo and buttermilk for vegan versions and we have a Vegan Ranch that’s just as good as anything you’d get at the store, if not BETTER!

why you’ll dig vegan Ranch!

This recipe makes about 3/4 cup of sauce, so you’ll have plenty to enjoy as a dip, or on some Vegan Chick-fil-A or a Snack Wrap. Obviously, you can put this on a salad if you are so inclined!

It’s perfect if you wanna keep a batch at home for meals or quick snacks. Or if you aren’t selfish like me, you can share it with friends at a party or game day gathering (just make a double batch so you can keep some at home for yourself!)

ingredients for vegan Ranch

  • Vegan Mayo – This is the base and it shouldn’t be substituted unfortunately! You can maybe try using some unsweetened yogurt if you like though I can’t guarantee that it’ll be as good.
  • Vegan Buttermilk – We’ll make this by simply mixing some apple cider vinegar and some plant milk.
  • Dried Herbs – We will employ some dill, parsley and chives for this.
  • Seasonings – A little garlic and onion powder will amp the flavor, but go easy on them as they can overpower it too!
  • Lactic Acid – This is optional, but I like adding this for some added TANG and ZIP. You can try adding a dash of citric acid instead.
  • Xanthan Gum (very optional) – if you want your Ranch to be thicker, you can always add a touch of xanthan gum. Simply add the Ranch to a blender and add the xanthan gum as it’s blending. Don’t use too much or it’ll get gummy!

how to make vegan Ranch

This is a fairly simple process, first make some vegan buttermilk by adding some apple cider vinegar to some plant milk and let it curdle. Then literally just mix everything up and taste for seasoning.

Let it hang out in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors mingle.

storage

Store in the fridge and use within 3-5 days. I doubt it’ll last that long though, it’s too good!
