Vegan Honey Mustard
Vegan Honey Mustard is just as sweet and tangy as anything you’ll get at some Fast Food Restaurant, and dare I say this is BETTER!

I’ve long held that BBQ Sauce, Ranch and Honey Mustard are my favorite dipping sauces for Fried Chick’n, so I’m happy to say I now have recipes for all 3 on this here blog, and this Vegan Honey Mustard might be my favorite of them all.
It’s a perfect blend of SWEET & ZIPPY that make it hard not to dip just about anything in it. Sure maybe Ranch and BBQ sauce are more versatile, but for dunking chick’n nuggets, I don’t think you can beat Honey Mustard!

And as per usual around here, it’s quite simple to make VEGAN!
why you’ll dig vegan Honey mustard!
This recipe makes about 3/4 cup of sauce, so you’ll have plenty to enjoy as a dip, or on some Vegan Chick-fil-A or a Snack Wrap. Heck, you could even drink it, that’s how good it is!
Seriously though, it’s great to have a batch handy for snacking or a full on meal. And it’s a crowd pleaser at any game day gathering too!

ingredients for vegan honey mustard
- Vegan Mayo – despite the name, this is the base and it shouldn’t be substituted unfortunately! You can maybe try using some unsweetened yogurt if you like though I can’t guarantee that it’ll be as good.
- Vegan Honey – You can either use some homemade Vegan Honey made with apples, or you can also use maple or date syrup, agave, or any sweetener you like.

- Mustards – We are using both Dijon and Yellow Mustard. You can mess with the ratios if you like one better than the other, but I dig the way a 1:1 comes out.
- Lemon Juice – for some added Tang and Twang!

how to make vegan Honey Mustard
This is a fairly simple process, literally just mix everything up and taste for seasoning.

A crucial step is to let it hang out in the fridge for at least 2 hours so it can thicken up, and to let the flavors mingle. Otherwise, it will be a little thin and not as zippy!

storage
Store in the fridge and use within 3-5 days. I doubt it’ll last that long though, it’s too good!
Use it on these recipes!

Vegan Honey Mustard
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Vegan Mayo
- 2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Yellow Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Vegan Honey (or agave, maple syrup)
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Whisk all ingredients until well combined. Store in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving. It might be a little thin but will thicken after a few hours in the fridge. The flavors will also get better after some time in the fridge so I recommend making this before you need it.
- Serve with Vegan Fried Chick'n, on a Deli Sandwich, dip some veggies in it, or use it on whatever your heart desires!

Nice, that sounds good! Glad you like the sauces!!
My go to!! I crave this all the time. I donβt use the regular mustard or lemon but the combination of other ingredients is amazing!!
Iβve made this recipe multiple times, always following the exact recipe and itβs fantastic. Thank you!!
Excellent! It’s one of my favorites, glad you like it!
Perfect vegan “honey” mustard. I’ve made this several times, and it’s always perfect. Since I’m vegan, I don’t use honey; maple syrup is a great substitute. I’ve always made it exactly as written, until today… I realized, too late, that I didn’t have any lemons or lemon juice, so I subbed that with the same amount of rice vinegar. It is still perfectly delicious!
Oh nice, glad that worked out, thank you!!
