Alabama White Sauce
This Alabama White Sauce is super tangy and zippy! Perfect on anything grilled, and on top of literally anything!

I made this Alabama White Sauce years ago and brought it to a BBQ and it was gone within like 20 minutes. People were putting it on everything, even burgers and hot dogs!

It’s so easy to put together, and it’s equally as delicious! If you need a last minute offering at a BBQ, this sauce will do the trick!

INGREDIENTS FOR Alabama White Sauce
- Mayo – This is the main ingredient, so you really can’t substitute it! Use whatever mayo you like, I have a few recipes for a homemade Vegan Mayo!

- Prepared Horseradish – Make sure you get the Prepared kind and not the Creamy kind!

- Everything Else – Aside from that, we’ll be employing some seasonings like Onion and Garlic Powder, Cayenne, and some Vinegar, Sugar and Worcestershire!
how to make Alabama White Sauce
Simply whisk the ingredients together. Taste and adjust seasoning to your taste! Enjoy with Soy Curl Chicken, Tofu Chicken, BBQ Skewers, whatever you like!

It’s really tricky to find prepared horseradish that is vegan, in the UK. Do you have any other recommendations on what I could use instead?
Sorry it wouldn’t let me correct when I wrote. Everything seems to be creamed here…googling away but finding it tricky to find prepared horseradish!
What about in Polish shops if you have one around? It is a traditional Polish thing, and usually vegan (look for words mleko/śmietana in ingredients list – these are milk/cream; rarely, but it does occasionally happen that Polish prepared horseradish will contain milk or cream)
From my searching it seems like you might be able to get some in the Kosher aisle. Somebody on Reddit also mentioned that Waitrose has prepared horseradish, but that was 11 years ago lol. If you can find whole horseradish root you can grate it yourself. Alternatively, try using either wasabi paste or spicy brown mustard instead. Good luck!
