Cajun Seasoning
Cajun Seasoning is super easy to make at home, and best of all you can control the Salt and Spice levels to your preference!

I love Cajun Seasoning, and I used to just buy some Slap Ya Mama or something similar. However, I always found them to be a little to salt heavy for my taste.
So of course, the natural thing to do is make my own at home! It’s super simple and you an totally tailor it to your taste too!
It’s super good on just about anything, but I love it on a Po’ Boy and some Remoulade!

The ingredients for this are all pantry staples!
- Salt – I used regular table salt for this. If you use another kind of salt you may need to adjust to your taste. You can also leave it out entirely for a Salt-Free version.
- Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Smoked Paprika – The flavor trinity in my opinion! One of the reasons Cajun Seasoning is so good!
- Cayenne Pepper – Add as little or as much as you like depending on how spicy you like it.
- Black Pepper – freshly cracked! I went as fine as possible, but use whatever grind you like.
- White Pepper – White Pepper is very strong so you don’t need to much. I found more than 1/2 tsp caused it to overtake the flavor of the seasoning.
How to make Cajun Seasoning
Simply combine everything together! Store in a airtight jar or seasoning shaker.

Store it in a jar and use as you wish! Should last at least 6 months!

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Salt (I used table salt)
- 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 3 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper (more or less to taste)
- 2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper
Instructions
- Simply mix all the seasonings together for the blend. Store in an airtight jar for up to 6 months (and probably longer is fine too!)
