In a skillet over medium heat, add a little cooking spray or oil, and add in the plant-based meat. Crumble and spread it out evenly. Let it sit for a good 3 minutes to brown.
Stir the meat around, then add in the taco seasoning and stir to coat. Once meat is no longer pink and is cooked through, add in the water and lime juice if using. Stir to combine. Reduce water to desired consistency. Taste and adjust for seasoning.
Toast your burger buns, and then assemble the Bell Beefers as follows from bottom to top: bottom bun, Creamy Jalapeno Sauce, Taco Seasoned meat, grated vegan cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, more sauce if desired on the top bun and enjoy!
