Sourdough Jack

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bottom burger buns or 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 - 5 oz plant based meat
  • 2 - 4 slices Cooked Vegan Bacon
  • 2 Tomato slices
  • 1 slice vegan cheese
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp Vegan Mayo
  • 2 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp Vegan Butter

Instructions
 

  • If using buns, with a serrated or bread knife, carefully shave off the bottom part of the heels, so you expose the interior of the bun.
  • Spread some vegan butter or mayo on your buns and toast until golden brown in a pan over medium heat (ideally let them rest on a wire rack so they don't get soggy).
  • Form a burger patty, and add it to the pan. Cook for 3 minutes per side. When you flip it, add your vegan cheese then a few sprinkles of water to the pan, and cover to melt. Cook for 1 - 2 minutes.
  • Slather on some vegan mayo and ketchup on your top bun, season the tomaotes, then assemble burger as shown.
