Vegan Plate Lunch
The insanely delicious and hearty Comfort Food Classic from Hawaii but totally vegan! Yes this Vegan Plate Lunch is just as epic as the OG!

I haven’t had a Plate Lunch since going vegan and I’ve been craving one HARD! So of course I had to take matters into my own hands and make one myself!
Now this isn’t Traditional Hawaiian food, but rather what’s referred to as Local Hawaiian food. Since this was something that was developed after the islands were colonized, it isn’t true Hawaiian food that the indigenous people ate.

That said, this dish was definitely made famous in Hawaii. And even over here in California from a few different chains that I used to hit up.
And since there’s a lot of components to a Plate Lunch, I’ve broken them up into their own recipes!

Tofu Katsu
The crispiest part of a Plate Lunch! This is super easy to make! And thanks to the Panko, the CRUNCH contrasts perfectly with the other tender and succulent items on the plate.

Vegan Beef Teriyaki
Speaking of succulent, enter the Beef Teriyaki! Sweet and salty, it pairs perfectly with the Tofu Katsu.
