Vegan Baby You Can Chive My Car Burger
One of the most POPULAR Burgers from Bob’s Burgers, and for good reason! Let’s make a Vegan Baby You Can Chive My Car Burger!

Okay, Fried Pickles on a Burger is a fantastic move, and something I haven’t done in way too long. Also, Sour Cream and Chive spread, but then also Feta Cheese INSIDE the burger? The Vegan Baby You Can Chive My Car Burger is super rich and decadent, and I highly suggest you take it for a spin!
Ingredients for a Baby You can Chive My Car Burger
- Burger Buns – You can use store-bought or make my Burger Buns recipe!

- Vegan Meat – You can use something like Impossible or Beyond Meat or make a Vegan Burger Patty from Scratch!

- Tofu Feta – For the feta, we’re making a quick one with some olive oil, seasonings, and crumbled tofu. I’m using my good buddy LACTIC ACID, but you can sub for lemon juice. I did try this with Follow Your Heart Feta and it just melted into nothing, but that was a few years ago, perhaps it works better now, not sure!
- Fried Pickles – You can make a half batch (or full batch if you want even more extra fried pickles) of my Fried Pickles recipe!

And lastly, I suggest putting the pickles on top of the baby you can chive my car burger (but underneath the top bun obviously), this is how H. Jon Benjamin ate it on the Burger Show, and it’s a good move!

Storage
This is best enjoyed fresh but you can save any leftovers in the fridge for about 3 – 4 days. The Tofu Feta is good on anything you’d put Feta on, same with the Sour Cream & Chive Spread!

Vegan Baby You Can Chive My Car Burger
Ingredients
- 4 Burger Buns
- 20 oz Vegan Meat (Impossible or Beyond, SEE NOTES for more options)
- 1/2 batch Fried Pickles
Tofu Feta
- 7 oz. Extra Firm Tofu (Pressed for 20 Minutes)
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp White Wine Vinegar
Sour Cream & Chive Spread
- 1/2 cup Vegan Sour Cream (or unsweetened Vegan Yogurt)
- 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Chopped Chives
- 1/2 tsp Lactic Acid (optional)
Instructions
Tofu Feta
- To make the tofu feta, crumble your tofu and mix with the rest of the ingredients thoroughly. Taste and adjust for seasoning. Refrigerate until needed.
Sour Cream & Chive Spread
- To make the sour cream and chive spread, simply combine everything in a bowl, taste and adjust for seasoning, and refrigerate until needed.
Fried Pickles
- Prepare my Fried Pickles recipe!
Burger Method
- To make the burger patty, split the vegan meat into 8 balls that weigh 2.5 ounces each. Press out each ball into a thin patty (I like to use some parchment paper / burger paper and a burger press or a cookie cutter as a guide and press down with my hands).
- Take about 2 tablespoons of the tofu feta and add it on top of one patty, leaving some room around the outside. Then take another patty, and put it on top. Use your fingers to cinch the edges together to seal the two patties together.
- Bring a skillet up to medium heat with a bit of oil, toast your burger buns until browned. Then add your burger patty and cook for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Flip the burger, and then cook for another 3-4 minutes or until browned.
- Then assemble burger in this order, bottom bun, patty, sour cream and chive spread, fried pickles, top bun and enjoy!
- You may have leftover Tofu Feta, Fried Pickles and Sour Cream and Chive Spread, so use that as you like!
