In a small bowl add the dried onions and water, stir and let rehydrate for 5 - 10 minutes. Drain excess water.
Form or press your burger patty so it matches the circumference of your buns.
In a skillet or griddle over medium heat, lightly toast buns and set aside.
Then over medium high heat, add the burger patty, season with salt and pepper, and grill on each side for about 3 minutes and then give it a flip.
After you flip the patty, add a slice of vegan cheese and cover with a melting dome / lid. You can add a little water before covering to steam the cheese too!
Once Cheese is melted, assemble as follows; Bottom Bun, Cheeseburger, Pickles, Onions, Ketchup and Mustard, Top Bun.
